Based on findings by the Solid State Physics Group , studies on the binding and regulation of brain hexokinase were carried out; The glycolysis in yeast was studied with respect to Particulate fructokinase and aldolases; Highlights : O.Siddiqi-Awarded Indian National Science Golden Jubilee Medal; R.N.Singh was at sabbatical at Yale University, USA for a year; V.Nanjundaiah was on leave at the University of Kyoto for a year; Summary: Yeast glycolytic pathway was intensively studied with much progress, discoveries by other science groups in the institution paved way for molecular biological background studies.
