Contains reprint of the Rumford Medal Lecture by S Chandrasekhar on "Thermal Convection". The lecture was reprinted from the Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (Rechristened as Daedalus), Volume 86, Issue 4.

On the first page is an annotation by K S Krishnan with the date "5 March 1957".
