This accession consists of papers belonging to B S Madhava Rao. Bangalore Srinivasarao Madhava Rao was a mathematician and physicist who was a professor and later principal of Central College, Bangalore. He had worked with Max Born on non-linear field theory. He then went on to research and publish works related to theoretical physics. He collaborated with C V Raman and Homi J Bhabha. He was awarded the Ramanujan Prize of Madras University in 1965.
