Particulate fructokinase in yeast was discovered; The neuroanatomy and neurochemistry of Drosophila was studied; Blastomere studies in zebrafish were conducted; Experiments were conducted to study development in slime mold (Dictyostelium discoideum); Highlights: C.H. Premani implemented a graphics system on the PDP/11-34 for 3-D reconstruction of structures; O. Siddiqi was on sabbatical at Caltech from April '81; R.N. Singh collaborated with the European Molecular Laboratory, Heidelberg, Federal Republic of Germany; K. VijayRaghavan visited Cambridge, England in '82 under an exchange programme; More model systems introduced: Zebra fish and slime mould were studied.
