The Academic Office papers only include the Student Handbooks as of 2018. The Student Handbooks consists of all matters related to the students of NCBS. They provide guidelines for graduate students, gives an idea of how to defend a thesis, how lab rotations work in a science based institute, provides information on the Honour Code, information on courses and use of the library, the sports complex, etc.

Description
Guidelines for Graduate Students at NCBS: Discusses topics such as Lab Allotment, Courses and Evaluation of students. An NCBS Computer Handbook and Student guidelines applicable to Research/Junior, JRFs on Academic Programme also included. Library and hostel rules, request for Financial Assistance for attending conference/symposium/seminar/workshop within India/abroad and Application for Deputation Loan are explained in the handbook. Similar design of blue A4 cover, change in font used as before; Addition of Telephone and Fax number on the cover; the Inclusion of Steering Committee in the section Thesis Advisory Committee; Concept of Scholarship/ Fellowship introduced.
