Scope and Contents
Consists of submissions by the Union of India on two points, viz. the environmental aspects of Sardar Sarovar Project; and the assessment and monitoring of the environmental aspects of the Sardar Sarovar Project. Annexures consists of copes of letters from the Secretary (Water Resources) to Secretary (Environment & Forests) and between the Chairman of the Central Water Commision to the Secretary (Water Resources) dated to 2.1.1987 and 13.1.1987; a note by the Central Water Commission dated to 7.10.1987; response of the Union of India to comments made by the Petitioner on Illustrative Case Study on Flora & Fauna; and copy of the article "Dam and Activism" by P.V. Indiresan appearing in The Hindu dated 5.5.2000.
