The collection contains material donated by different donors related to history of ecology and conservation in India.
Series one contains papers of Zafar Futehally who was a prominent ornithologist and writer. Futehally was involved with BNHS, NLFBW, BET, WFF, MoE etc and has worked on writing about birding and conservation of ecosystems in India. It includes birding diaries that belonged to Thomas Waterfield who was a birder based out of Pune.

This archival collection consists of photographic material from TNA Perumal, who was a wildlife photographer. The current batch of material consists of negative sleeves.
