Biographical / Historical
Vigyan o Vigyankarmi is the official Journal of the West Bengal’s Science Workers Association or West Bengal Vigynankarmi Sansthan. A social and scientific affairs magazine, it touches upon the development of scientific and industrial policy in India and the welfare of ‘scientific’ workers i.e. those in scientific, technical and industrial domains.

The intellectual arrangement strives to preserve provenance and original order of the papers. Where an original order could not be found, the Archives has applied an order, and folders within sub-series are arranged usually in chronological or alphabetical order. Most of the journals are in good condition. Some magazines from the 1970s and 1980s are fragile and require to be handled carefully.
