The Register contains notes compiled by Kailash Khati during his vocational training studies. It includes information on technical concepts, tables, formulas, question and answer pages etc. The content is handwritten in both English and Hindi. The Diary contains notes compiled by Kailash Khati during his initial days at CENDIT. It includes technical concepts and other information relevant for his job and training. The content consists of diagrams, explanations, tables and handwritten notes in both Hindi and English. This set of 14 letters comprises personal identification documents and official invitation belonging to the individual at various points in his workng life. It includes a CENDIT ID dated 1989, a college ID from ITI dated 1981, and another college ID from 1981. Also included is a dinner invitation from the Raj Bhavan, Imphal, dated April 1991, received during fieldwork in Manipur. It also consists of official correspondence and personal documents related to employment and professional development of the subject. It includes salary increase notifications and performance certificates issued by CENDIT between 1985 and 1989, as well as two letters of recommendation. Also included is a government-issued course completion certificate. Series 2 contains six technical drawings- hand drawn and printed block diagrams made by Kailash Khati and printed by CENDIT for sharing in its technical training programmes. A comparison of hand drawn and printed versions of the same block diagram show the changes to technical knowledge emerging out of field experience. This series comprises six photographs documenting various aspects of the subject's work from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. It includes images from underground Coal Mines in the 1990s. One image shows the CENDIT video library playback system being checked in the late 1980s. Another photograph captures editing work in progress, featuring U-matic machines commonly used in the 1990s. A mid-1990s group photo from the South Asia Women’s Workshop at Jamia Hamdard is also included. A photograph from 1995 depicts a person operating a video camera, and another shows a workshop taking place in the field.
