Scope and Contents
From Dev Gogoi to Swaminathan (12 September 1988), at the suggestion of K. Swaminathan with the enclosed note regarding the afforestation of the Arunachala hill of Tamil Nadu, and inquiring about the possibility of declaring it a National Heritage Site. Also includes a copy of Swaminathan's letter to K.P. Geethakrishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, forwarding him the letter and requesting a discussion on the development of National Heritage Sites, and a copy of Swaminathan's reply to Gogoi acknowledging the letter (23 September 1988).
