Scope and Contents
Correspondence from Swaminathan to the members of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) inviting comments on the enclosed discussion paper prepared by biologists in India identifying priorities for the research and training programmes of the International Centre for Biological Sciences being established by COSTED of ICSU at Madras. Folder contains three copies of the discussion paper; reply to Swaminathan from Stephen R. Edwards, Victus Fernando, Jeffrey Sayer, Jim Thorsell, Wolfgang E Burhenne, J I D R Furtado, Patrick J. Dugan. Folder also contains a reply from Liz Hopkins conveying her apologies as information Swamintathan was seeking on the conservation activities in British schools will be available only in August.
