Scope and Contents
Contains both handwritten and printed letters ranging from requests for Sharbati Sonara directly from farmers to Swaminathan or through representatives; requests from various government officials requesting for a sample of the seeds; requests for seeds from Ministry of Food and Agriculture; from Institutes such as the The Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research; letter from IARI to requesters informing then about the unavailability or shortage of seeds; contains correspondence between Rajendra Nath Azad and B.P Pal regarding the release of some amount of seeds, which is then forwarded to Swaminathan; letters confirming the allotment of seeds or the approval of indents sent to IARI; notes confirming the supply to seeds to various requesters. Contains letters in Hindi and English.
