Scope and Contents
Correspondence between Pal and the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture regarding the Central Committee on Soil Science. Includes: notice from the Secretary (11 November 1950) recommending S.P. Raychaudhuri as a replacement for J.N. Mukherjee as the Chairman of the Committee, with the enclosed announcement of the constitution of the Committee dated 7 June 1949; and Pal's reply (28 November 1950) approving the recommendation but suggesting that a more senior chemist may be considered, and questioning the relevance of the Committee as a whole since a similar committee already existed at IARI.
