The Physics-Astronomy Connection at the Most Fundamental Level, 1990

The collection has been divided into 25 sub-series across 7 series.

The first series, Correspondence, contains letters to and from B V Sreekantan arranged chronologically across four sub-series. The first sub-series, 1945-1990, covers mostly his research and administrative work at TIFR, Bombay and his fellowship at MIT with Bruno Rossi. Sub-series 2, 3, and 4 mostly consists of research and administrative related correspondence with peers at NIAS and to-be-established TIFR centres.

The second series, Writings, contains mostly publications arranged thematically across 4 sub-series: physics and astrophysics, history of science, reflections on colleagues and biographical notes, and writings on consciousness. Within the sub-series, each folder is arranged chronologically, showing records from 1952 to 2019.

The third series, Research and Teaching, contains handwritten notes and print-outs from presentations. They have been arranged thematically and according to format across four sub-series: Physics and Astrophysics, History of Science -- Fundamentals of Particle Physics, Consciousness, and Notes and Notebooks. Most of this material is undated except for some of the notebooks which span 1992 to 2017.

The fourth series, Administration, contains letters, reports, meeting minutes, and other administrative records related to two institutes that B V Sreekantan was primarily associated with - TIFR and NIAS. Each has it's own sub-series and a third sub-series titled Personal.

The fifth series, Biographical and Personal, contains certificates, photographs, and articles that document his life and work. This series is divided into four sub-series: Awards, Biodata, Photographs, and Ephemera.

The sixth series, Homi J Bhabha, contains articles, notes, talks, speeches, and a photograph across two sub-series that document material on Homi Bhabha and material by Homi Bhabha.

The seventh series, Research References, contains articles and other publications collected by B V Sreekantan arranged thematically across four sub-series: On physics and astrophysics (academic references), On physics and astrophysics (general), On consciousness, and Miscellaneous.
