Edited by Suman Sahai. Published by Gene Campaign. Based on a seminar as a response to Uruguay round of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) negotiations. Participants included representatives of various ministries, scientists from public and private institutions, trade union representatives, patent attorneys, environment sector officials, voluntary sector. Recommendations passed on to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Booklet includes writings of Suman Sahai, S.K. Sinha, S.V. Gupte, Naresh Kumar, Anupam Verma, C.S. Nautiyal, R.S. Rana, J. Gowrishankar.
