Scope and Contents
Consists of publications, correspondence, handwritten notes, data sheets, and media clipping. The publications include an issue of Humanscapes magazine themed 'A million mutinies', spotlighting environmental movements around the country; 'Chautha Padav', the 1999-2000 report of the Tawa Matsya Sangh; and a pamphlet on fisheries in the Tawa reservoir. Notes pertain to the rights of farmers in Bori and the efforts of Gram Panchayats; the objectives of the forestry scheme by village residents; and handwritten notes by Pankaj Sekhsaria on Bori - March 1999 and Pachmarhi . Correspondence includes letters between the Kishan Adivasi Sanghatan of Hoshangabad and government functionaries on the rights of and attacks on Adivasi farmers in Bori and Pachmarhi sanctuary area, fishing permissions in the Tawa reservoir; and discussion of exclusion of Bori areas from wildlife protection act. Also contains a datasheet on Bori, on forested land (presented in the MP State Assembly), map of Hoshangabad, and article on the Bori forest. Contains multilingual material in English and Hindi.
