Contains the following: i. Typewritten draft of a letter from S S Bhatnagar to K S Krishnan with information about the conditions on the appointment of K S Krishnan as the Director of NPL. ii. A booklet containing the speech delivered by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel while performing the opening ceremony of the National Physical Laboratory of India on 21 January 1950. iii. Handwritten draft of 4 letters by K S Krishnan to S S Bhatnagar about casual leaves and lecture remunerations. iv. Typewritten draft of a letter by K S Krishnan to C V Raman with details about accommodating C V Raman's research assistants and scholars. v. Letter from the Secretary of CSIR to the Directory of NPL regarding reports of officers who have resumed duty in India from 1 January 1954 to 30 June 1954. vi. Letter from the Secretary of CSIR to the Directory of NPL regarding the procedure for transmitting technical information in reply to the enquiries made by various firms, etc., in foreign countries. v. Two information booklets about the National Physical Laboratory of India with photographs and content covering the past and present of the institution.
