Description
NCBS turned ten. An external review of NCBS was conducted by a team headed by P. Balaram from IISc. Q.S. Padiath joined the NCBS faculty. A new microscopy facility was added, which contained a multi-photon, an atomic force and a near field optical microscope. A DNA microarray scanner, PCR machine, a mass spectrometer and a cell sorter were added to the research facilities.
