Scope and Contents
This folder contains a letter from Niranjan Sant, Prayavarni, sent to Zafar Futehally, dated 29th July, 2004. Regarding the large-scale illegal tree-felling, burning and unlawful activities in the Western Ghats, Khanpur taluk, Belgaum district in Karnataka. Attached to the letter are a series of 6 photographs that provide evidence of illegal logging, burning and mining activities. Also includes a list indicating the location, area, and log of illegal activities.
