A Marathi article by Prakash Gole, printed in the Oct-Nov 1984 issue of a Marathi magazine, Navbhaarat. It draws attention to how land, air and water- the three basic requirements for human life, have been getting more and more neglected in the various developmental plans of our country. He emphasises the need to formulate developmental policies based on the studies by ecologists, as was done while planning the first Five Year Plan in 1951.
