Archival material relating to the body of work of Subhash Chandra Lakhotia, centred around his work on cytogenetics, Drosophila genetics, and perspectives on the practice of doing science in India. This is a first accession, with potential for future accessions. This accession includes (a) Correspondence - mix of personal and professional - with members of scientific community, elected officials, policy makers and administrators. (b) Drafts of lectures and talks delivered by SC Lakhotia. (c) Photo album of black and white photographs taken by SC Lakhotia in the 1960s as part of his research field work: Note that this is a loan, and the physical material should be returned to SC Lakhotia. (d) Research data, EM Logs, circa 1972, including one glass plate image of EM data relating to work on Drosophila chromosome.
