This accession consists of a copy of a draft manuscript for a book in Hindi written and typed by Pandit Shriram Sharma. Pandit Shriram Sharma (1892 -1967), was the editor of 'Vishaal Bhaarat' (one of the most acclaimed Hindi magazines of its time), and also the author of books on Indian wildlife and the freedom struggle. He wrote in Hindi, his books on wildlife include Jungle ke Jeev and Shikar. He was a contemporary of Jim Corbett, and Pearl S Buck.

The papers could help provide context to the people, movements and organisations that shaped ecological conservation in India. The Archives has offered to preserve and catalogue these materials. The donor and the Archives have agreed that the Archives will have full authority in handling the material in the future, including transferring it to a more suitable archive when the situation arises.
