This accession includes papers belonging to N. S. Adkoli. Adkoli was a renowned forest officer. The accession contains printed and handwritten material. It includes an unpublished memoir by Adkoli. An album and few loose photographs and a report on the Ranganatittu bird sanctuary have been retained.

The Adkoli papers were given to Anjali J R at the Archives by Anand Adkoli on March 7th, 2023. Material was in the possession of Anand Adkoli, who is the son of N S Adkoli.
Retention Rule
The papers could help provide context to the people, movements and organisations that shaped ecological conservation in India. The Archives has offered to preserve and catalogue these materials. The donor and the Archives have agreed that the Archives will have full authority in handling the material in the future, including transferring it to a more suitable archive when the situation arises.
