H R Arakeri Papers
Content Description
H R Arakeri's papers includes photographs taken during his career, from events and conferences. It also contains a farewell address presented to him in 1979. H R Arakeri was an agricultural scientist who worked on agricultural research and soil management in Karnataka. Arakeri was obtained a MSc in Agriculture from University of Bombay and a PhD from University of Minnesota in 1949. He began his academic career at College of Agriculture Pune, and worked at College of Agriculture, Dharwar before joining the Department of Agriculture in Karnataka, eventually heading it as Director of Agriculture. Arakeri was also the Vice Chancellor of UAS.

The accession will be transferred to a new “SD-003-Small Donations-Agricultural Sciences” where the material will be kept under the third series, which will be titled “H R Arakeri Papers”.
