Provenance
It was given to Venkat Srinivasan by Caroline Brown in Ireland on May 2023. Simon Jackson had shipped the letters to Brown from Fortrose in April 2023.
Retention Rule
The Monica Jackson Papers fall under the scope of the Archive's documentation of interactions with ecology as Jackson was a mountaineer interested in various Indian mountain ecologies such as her native Biligiriranga Hills and the Himalayas, and the correspondence relates to conservationist Zafar Futehully through his wife, Laeeq Futehully. The Archives has offered to preserve and catalogue these materials. The donor and the Archives have agreed that the Archives will have full authority in handling the material in the future
